I’m always asked what kind of food should I feed my dog. 

     It doesn’t have to be hard or expensive; there are so many quality foods out there.

    Find one that will fit your needs and budget ~ Dry Kibble should be eaten 98% of the time,   

  ~ You will have to read labels ~

     No food coloring - 

    No Soy

    No Wheat

    No Corn

     No junk fillers!

 

     Treats

   FRESH BONES!  NO RAW PORK or Pork BONES- 

    Frozen Turkey Neck for teeth Cleaning and teething!

    Fresh Beef neck bones for teeth Cleaning and teething!

 

    **NOTE***

   When feeding fresh raw meat or bones NO kibble should be given at the same time.

   When eating raw meats stools may appear gray/white in color, this is normal.

 

 

     Treats and training aids [cut in small pieces]

    Baked, Roasted and Grilled - CHICKEN! (NO SKIN)

·                     Raw Carrots  [baby carrots are nice]

·                     Raw Green Beans & Broccoli

·                     Apples, MELONS

·                      Chicken liver (BAKED)

·                       CHEESE also - in small amounts, good to WRAP a pill in  

·                       [Teaspoon/tablespoon], plain cottage cheese or plain/vanilla yogurt ~

·                     YOGURT - provides the GOOD cultures in the gut!  Great when taking antibiotics! 

·                     Rice Steamed (Brown/ white) good for upset tummies**

·                      Bait your puppy when training obedience or puppy class - then wean them off to do the command for simply JUST YOUR LOVE AND PRAISE!

Note – never feed from the table!  Make them wait until YOU the HUMAN have eaten, then make them do a trick or commant before feeding them (example - Sit, stay then give the food!) dogs NEED this to excercise their minds and have direction!  Make sure your dogs have manners as well...

   Use bottled water when traveling! You never know what is in other water sources.

ALWAYS supervise your pets with treats!!
